jill schoelen is the queen of my dreams! (Homosexual II), Thursday, 10 March 2005 20:01 (twenty years ago)

Yes.

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 10 March 2005 20:02 (twenty years ago)

mine match w/ each other but not w/ the shoes/pants i'm wearing accourtin to my mom. i am wearing dress shoes and khaki pants with white nike socks which i guess is wrong.

oh well, Thursday, 10 March 2005 20:03 (twenty years ago)

Always.

Michael White (Hereward), Thursday, 10 March 2005 20:03 (twenty years ago)

Yes (maybe 70% of the time, today is a definite yes as they're one of my few nice pairs).

Markelby (Mark C), Thursday, 10 March 2005 20:04 (twenty years ago)

no! never; although they are the same type.

lundy fastnet irish sea (cis), Thursday, 10 March 2005 20:07 (twenty years ago)

They match each other, but not my shoes or pants. (Trousers, you silly Brit.)

dave225 (Dave225), Thursday, 10 March 2005 20:09 (twenty years ago)

oh well, why're you acourtin' your Mom?

Michael White (Hereward), Thursday, 10 March 2005 20:12 (twenty years ago)

(and yes i'm bored enough to take a photo of it)

jellybean (jellybean), Thursday, 10 March 2005 20:20 (twenty years ago)

I rarely wear socks, but when I do, mostly they match.

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 10 March 2005 20:27 (twenty years ago)

Yep. They may have unequal amounts of lint stuck to them, though. Stupid wool.

Dan M. (OutDatWay), Thursday, 10 March 2005 20:30 (twenty years ago)

i dont wear sox

anthony, Thursday, 10 March 2005 20:33 (twenty years ago)

Nope. One is black, and one is, um, blueish-grey.

Actually I have a gig tonight and I consciously put the grey one on the right foot (which will be hidden by the bass drum) and the black one on the left (which will be visible).

Jordan (Jordan), Thursday, 10 March 2005 20:36 (twenty years ago)

Mine do match today, but most of the time they don't. Socks are socks, there's no point in wasting time folding them up into neat little pairs. Also, I have lots of strays.

jaymc (jaymc), Thursday, 10 March 2005 20:39 (twenty years ago)

Mine match, but they're white, so points off for that.

sunburned and snowblind (kenan), Thursday, 10 March 2005 20:40 (twenty years ago)

Always.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 10 March 2005 20:42 (twenty years ago)

nope, I always wear those soccer socks with the two stripes at the top, and I get a kick out of knowing that no one else knows one of my socks has blue stripes and one has yellow.

mat, Thursday, 10 March 2005 20:46 (twenty years ago)

I chucked all my old socks about 10 years ago & bought 20 pairs of all the same sock in black. They still make them so I bought another 10 pairs a few years ago. Because I am a lazy fuck.

dave225 (Dave225), Thursday, 10 March 2005 20:46 (twenty years ago)

Mine nearly always match.

caitlin (caitlin), Thursday, 10 March 2005 20:47 (twenty years ago)

I own only all-white or all-black socks. Mis-matching socks are never a problem

Elvis Telecom (Chris Barrus), Thursday, 10 March 2005 20:47 (twenty years ago)

Yeah, always, because I've only bought one brand and one style in the last five years.

Curious George Finds the Ether Bottle (Rock Hardy), Thursday, 10 March 2005 21:10 (twenty years ago)

don't recall an occasion of me socks not matching.

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Thursday, 10 March 2005 21:25 (twenty years ago)

yeah bitch

Maria (Maria), Thursday, 10 March 2005 21:40 (twenty years ago)

I own only all-white or all-black socks. Mis-matching socks are never a problem

Same here, except I also have several pair of grey, one pair of green, and a couple argyle stragglers here and there that I can never find the mate for, so I don't wear them, because one argyle and one solid is way beyond mismatched.

sunburned and snowblind (kenan), Thursday, 10 March 2005 21:48 (twenty years ago)

I've done it. Who cares?

jaymc (jaymc), Thursday, 10 March 2005 21:52 (twenty years ago)

They're all going to laugh at you!

sunburned and snowblind (kenan), Thursday, 10 March 2005 21:58 (twenty years ago)

I mean, I don't care if *you* do it, or anyone else, but I fear the judgement of others.

sunburned and snowblind (kenan), Thursday, 10 March 2005 21:59 (twenty years ago)

I *only* buy black gold toe socks. They *always* match and I never have to pair them up. I buy them at Costco in bulk! This will save me a minute or two a day for the rest of my life, how cool is that???

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 10 March 2005 22:00 (twenty years ago)

Yes, but not each other.

saltbox and a rubber ball (Speedy Gonzalas), Friday, 11 March 2005 07:31 (twenty years ago)

mine did today! i think! they were bundled together in the drawer.

mullygrubbr (bulbs), Friday, 11 March 2005 07:38 (twenty years ago)

My socks, trouser socks, hose, etc., always match. I make sure of it. When I fold my laundry, I make sure to partner up all my socks, trouser socks, hose, etc., to where the only thing I need to do in order to get a pair is just reach into my underwear drawer and pick up a neatly folded pair that's already been twinned. I have to work that way or else it'd be a case of stumbling about at 6:30 in the morning going, "Fuck, where's the other one of THIS?!?!"

Surreal Addiction (Dee the Lurker), Friday, 11 March 2005 07:42 (twenty years ago)

(I own only all-white socks and all-black trouser socks, though they're of varying styles and from different manufacturers, so it can be very easy to mismatch them even though they're of the same color. Like, having a pair be of different fabric textures or having the ribbed tops be different or of different sizes, etc., etc., etc. The hose is easier to partner up, though.)

Surreal Addiction (Dee the Lurker), Friday, 11 March 2005 07:44 (twenty years ago)

i just have the black and the dark blue...same problem though dee. often i go to put on a pair - i get them out the night before cos i dress about 6am and i can't be for scrabbling about and waking people up - and the tectures are different.
