It's actually sad how much I know about the Archie comic universe, my favorite birthday ever when I was a kid was the year my mom bought a stack of 50 old archie comics for me that they were clearing out of a comic book shop. I don't really understand what I saw in them now.

I got a random slew of them when I was nine years old or something. What was annoying in retrospect were the Christian Archie ones that slipped in as well. I like the one where they were converted by the hip surfer dude believer walking down the beach, beard and all.

The Christian ones really frightened me when I was a kid. Not only were the plot lines alien and strange, but the animation style was trying to be more photorealistic but ended up just looking twisted and dark.
