Avoid owing porn moguls money and/or allowing Germans to break into your house. (DISCLAIMER: mistaking their ferret for a marmot WILL NOT WORK)

Stupornaut (natepatrin), Monday, 14 March 2005 05:17 (twenty years ago)

Stand back!

Thank you. Ladies and gentlemen, I am an expert on marmots. Marmots are usually attracted to humans for either food or for the purposes of interspecific sex. The first step to take is to encase your food in plasticine - all of it, without exception. If the marmot persists, you must use a condom. This will protect you in 98% of cases. Should complications arise, consult your doctor or a licensed clergyman.

I saw a marmot at Old Faithful. A redneck was literally leaning on a "Don't Feed The Marmots" sign as his daughter was feeding a neopolitan ice cream sandwich to one of them.

andy --, Monday, 14 March 2005 18:42 (twenty years ago)

I used to lurk at Old Faithful for just this occurrence. I would then sneak up behind the offending redneck and smash his head in with a shovel, while wearing a T that read "Shovel Weilding Vigilante". Then I would explain to their tear-stained children the importance of literacy and finish their ice-cream. I have since retired.

six years pass...

I'm seeing groundhogs EVERYWHERE all of a sudden. Mostly because this week I'm driving up to Frederick for work, but still...is this the season when the young 'uns leave the burrow?
