Showers? Just for hygiene or fun to boot?

I don't enjoy the process of taking a shower particularly. I get it over with as quickly as possible. Some people take days in a shower. I don't get it. Why is it so much fun?

Disclaimer #1 While it doesn't give me a thrill, I do shower every day. If I exercise, then twice. If I excercise before work and then go out after work, maybe thrice.

Disclaimer #2 If you have someone to shower with, obv. a different kettle of fish. Much fun.

I find it fun only if I have exciting new products to play with. I mean, like nice smelling shampoo or something.

Otherwise baths are more fun. You can drink wine in them and everything!

I'm not saying it's FUN, but I really taking a shower first thing in the morning, when I'm still sleepy, and just letting the hot water rain on me for a while -- it wakes me up and makes me feel refreshed. I like playing music while I'm in the shower, too. Especially of the upbeat, invigorating variety.

Showers are utilitarian for me, and more of a summer thing. In the winter, I like a long hot-ass bath. With bubbles, if possible.

I like to take my sweet time in the shower, plus I have a shaving mirror in mine so that takes more time. Get in, soak for a few minutes while the hot water softens my beard, shave, soak a while longer, maybe wash my hair, more soaking, wash the rest of me, maybe a wank — before you know it a half hour's gone by.

But one half of yr shower-stream is ice-cold while the other is scalding hot, yikes! I think these logistics would make a Euro ass-cleaning sub-comfortable at best.

I have a total love hate relationship with the shower. It feels sooooo good that I know, even though I have maybe 15 minutes if I want to be on time, that I'm going to linger after the hair is washed for at least 5 minutes too long, and that will directly correlate to missing a train and making me 20 minutes late to class/important meeting.
