Where is close to Knoxville that will be fun for a couple days? Within 4 hours drive, maybe scenic, maybe nice things to do? We are sick of Asheville.

you could check out Savannah, worth a day trip at least. nice motorcycle, btw.

amon (eman), Friday, 1 April 2005 05:47 (twenty years ago)

Big South Fork is criminally underappreciated, but I guess if you were looking for camping/hiking you'da said so. Louisville's more than 4 hours, isn't it? I've actually heard nice things about Lexington but never been. If you're willing to do a bit more than 4 hours (5 or 6?), there's always Chapel Hill. The good thing about going anywhere in Carolina is you can stop in Hot Springs on the way back...

I am going to Dollywood/Gatlinburg over Memorial day! Excited. Let me know how it is if you go, Roxy.

jocelyn (Jocelyn), Friday, 1 April 2005 12:51 (twenty years ago)

Is is so exciting to see someone ELSE besides me hyping up Big South Fork! I have this trail book from the late 70s that I like to use when I go there, because all the trails in it are long since overgrown haha.

Roxy if you guys come up to Lexington tonight you can see the Wailers.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 1 April 2005 13:11 (twenty years ago)

Dudes, Gatlinburg, Oak Ridge, et al are like practically in my town. We went to gatlinburg like last week for an afternoon. Farther away than that would be pref!

I think we are either going to Louisville, Sexxxington, or Atlanta.

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Friday, 1 April 2005 16:41 (twenty years ago)

We are going to Athens, GA. Never been there.
