hello chicago, i think you start to wake up now, so figured i'd start this.

toby and i will be in chicago on two weekends, and hoped to meet some of the lovely chicago crowd while we're there. we were hoping for a FAP or something on friday 29th april, would that suit people? we go back to michigan the next day, and will be back the following friday/saturday, although we have tentative plans (which we can break if that timing is better for chicago ilxors)

anyone interested?

I would love to meet you two. Actually, Nick's parents will be in town that weekend and we have a show the night of the 29th, which of course you're welcome to attend. But we're totally free the following weekend.

where's this show, by the way?

any other chicago folk up for a drink before/after/during the show, or the next weekend if the 29th is just a busy night?

jaymc, i hardly know anyone in kzoo these days, but depending on where the show is, i'm sure some of the people i went to summer camp with will be there- they seem to make up much of 'the scene' in town these days. glad to hear you'll be around when we're in chicago!

p.s. from toby-- he is laughing at me that he's so much more popular than me, says it's good to be missed, especially when he's still posting.

(and, from colette again, sam, i miss it as well! i always wanted to be a guest and have a chance to throw those beanbags in the skeeball buckets and win a prize. i seriously remember reading that bozo died a couple years ago, is that my imagination?)

xpost-- nah, that's cool, in such a small town, who knows? there's a good chance my brother will be there, i think he likes it there, but i don't want to introduce him to ilx, but maybe i'll say there's a good band there...what are you guys called?

cool, jaymc, just sent my brother an email encouraging him to go. so if you see a guy that's like 6'5 and looks slightly uncomfortable at a rock show, ask if he's my baby brother. aww.

kelsey, that's too bad! like i said, we'll be back in chicago the next weekend as well, so if some people want to meet up then, i'm sure it would be cool. the friday night we're eating at the green zebra, but i don't think we have plans for saturday night (7 may) yet. is anything fun happening?

hello there,

sorry we haven't been online till now, don't know if anyone is still around...anyway, we're still up for meeting with people tonight, if there's any way of coordinating things? i don't know where the fake fictions show is, but we're happy to go there if we can figure it out.

worth noting that we've been waking up super early, and have been crashing by midnight or so the last couple nights, so probably won't stay out super late.

anyway, if this is too late, maybe we can meet next saturday instead?
