Sarah McLusky (coco), Friday, 1 April 2005 13:52 (twenty years ago)

LA - the Rain Parade

youn, Friday, 1 April 2005 13:53 (twenty years ago)

Your favourite 5 ever, for whatever reason.

Kelly, Friday, 1 April 2005 13:53 (twenty years ago)

DC:

The Winstons
Van McCoy
Chuck Brown
Minor Threat
Rare Essence

Brian Miller (Brian Miller), Friday, 1 April 2005 14:05 (twenty years ago)

I couldn't name 5 bands from any of those cities. This is a really weird question.

Cathy (Cathy), Friday, 1 April 2005 14:08 (twenty years ago)

DC:
The Makeup

Sarah McLusky (coco), Friday, 1 April 2005 14:11 (twenty years ago)

Brian Miller (Brian Miller), Friday, 1 April 2005 14:15 (twenty years ago)

Florida is hard. I'm not even sure there have been 5 good bands from Florida ever.

n/a (Nick A.), Friday, 1 April 2005 14:23 (twenty years ago)

that's why i've asked, i cant name them either, especially with florida.

Kelly, Friday, 1 April 2005 14:47 (twenty years ago)

Miami Sound Machine, duh

Brian Miller (Brian Miller), Friday, 1 April 2005 14:53 (twenty years ago)

Washington, DC
I'd say: Minor Threat, SOA, the Slickee Boys, TroubleFunk, Fugazi

LA
Black Flag, Circle Jerks, X, Minutemen (well, they were from San Pedro, but close enough), TSOL

Edinburgh
I couldn't begin to tell you. The Exploited, maybe? Or were they from further up north?

Florida (Entire State)
I don't think anything good has ever come out of this State....and I'm not just talking about bands, either. It had an entertaining Death Metal boom in the 80's, but unless you're an acne-speckled, greasy-haired, school-shooting-plottin' reprobate, you probably don't care about that.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Friday, 1 April 2005 15:26 (twenty years ago)

Nick came from Florida, but so did all the Disney child stars.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Friday, 1 April 2005 15:27 (twenty years ago)

Nick who?

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Friday, 1 April 2005 15:31 (twenty years ago)

Sorry, my Nick. n/a.

Kelly, Friday, 1 April 2005 16:26 (twenty years ago)

There have been a lot of metal bands from Florida. I don't know, Deicide, Iced Earth, etc.

Jordan (Jordan), Friday, 1 April 2005 16:29 (twenty years ago)

Aren't NSync from Florida?

Airtube (nordicskilla), Friday, 1 April 2005 16:43 (twenty years ago)

What's your point?

n/a (Nick A.), Friday, 1 April 2005 16:47 (twenty years ago)

I didn't see this thread. I answered the one on ILM, somewhat half-seriously!

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 1 April 2005 16:50 (twenty years ago)
