Childhood habits die hard vs. youthful rebellion

As I was reading the chain restaurants thread (a near classic), I started to wonder whether those that now eat at fast food places are those that grew up on it, or those who grew up on healthy / home cooked stuff, and still see it as an illicit thrill.
So, with this in mind, what are the things you continue to be influenced by, or those you've rebelled against? Are you a teetotaller from drinking parents? A cussing promiscuous beast who grew up with religion? etc etc

Every time I don't eat kosher, I have a giant male orgasm.

Oh G-d yes... everytime I eat chicken parmesan I totally come in my pants. I love that stuff.

Weird... my mother is mostly admirable and to be emulated, but my dad... from about age 10 onward I knew the most important thing for me to grow up to be was NOT LIKE HIM. So when my daughter was growing up, I watched my language at home, generally laid off the alcohol, and didn't beat her. So, yeah, rebellion.

Foodwise, fast food was a rare treat when I was a kid, so I eat way too much of it now.

My father has never had coffee touch his lips. For me, coffee is my petrol.

I don't really want to say much about my dear old mum but lets just say that we're not at all alike and that I'm a left-wing non-church-organ-playing unpreachy guy who admires and respects our Oriental friends, finds homosexual culture a delight and in no way has had a disturbingly spot-the-connection list of past crushes that include Daley Thompson, Paul Ince and others with a "classic Ethopian profile".

I like indie girls as a rule.

Having finally resolved all my childhood rebellion issues, more or less, I find myself in the strange position of worrying that my son will get in half as much trouble as I did and suffer twice as many consequences. In other words, I'm a rebellious kid w/major authority problems who's now grown up into a somewhat strict & overprotective parent. Funny how the cliches turn out to be your life sometimes.
