so what's the deal with postmodernism anyway? i mean, sometimes things are just binary, y'know? like the other night, i was watching this documentary on the nazis, and hitler... i mean, hitler was a bad guy, yknow? just a really bad guy. i mean, you can talk about relativism all you want, i wouldn't set my sister up with hitler.

Cos white guys dance like this, and black guys dance like this. But no-one ever says how kids with one black parent and one white parent dance do they. Black is about self ientification anyway, not about how you can dance.

heckling is a pre-conscious matrix of free-floating signifiers that serve to project a narrative "centre of gravity" and demean the act.

Man I just looooove Disney World. It's great! The rides are nuts. People are dancing and singing songs. I was like honey, let's move here. She's like, to Orlando? I'm like no let's move right into the Disney parking lot, so we never have to wait in line! Just wake up and brrp howya doin, good morning, what's the news with Mickey?

two weeks pass...
what's the deal with caffeine-free diet coke? it doesn't have caffeine. it doesn't have sugar. it doesn't taste that good? why do people drink it? and then it has this slogan, "enjoy coke, enjoy life." but what is there to enjoy? is it some superegoic imperitive built into the functioning of late capitalism, fetishizing the consumptive act itself? i can't figure it out...

The other day I was watching the Jerry Springer show, just checking it out, curious, since I'd heard he's a DJ now on Air America, and I hadn't seen it in a long time. Same old thing. I don't get it. You don't watch it for years, and it's the same old thing. "Jerry! Jerry!" while some fat trailer trash bitch, held back by 300 pound monkey men, struggles to slap at her spike-haired goon husband, cheating on her with all three of her sisters at once. What a fool. Do you think you're getting invited on the show because you're realtionship is HEALTHY?!?! They've gotta see it coming. Or perhaps it's that their subjectivity is so entirely mediated by a thirst for attention, any attention is better than no attention. I mean, is it just me, or is there nothing more predictable, no better manifestation of a Foucauldian panoptical sense of observation emergent in an arena saturated by the ideology of what Debord has termed "the society of the spectacle," than the look on the face of a cuckolded Jerry Springer guest? You'd think they'd know by now, but no, sheesh.
