why do the CDs I burn always skip?

Are some brands of CDs inferior? Do other people have this trouble? I burn a CD, and it plays fine on my computer or on one of our boom boxes at home, but it stops midway on our stereo or won't play for someone else (like the Katatonia we burned for Ned). What am I doing wrong?

Are some burning programs better than others? I usually use Windows Media Player to copy songs to a CD.

so how do I not get it up the ass?

I don't know. Could be the brand of CD-R, could be the burner, could be the CD player. One thing you could try is burning at a lower speed.

Maybe you should stop throwing them across the lake after you burn them?

1. Use Nero.
2. Burn slower.
3. Kill Dan Perry.

your cd burner might be on the fritz. mine started failing all the time, I thought it was the discs, then I thought it was the software. took me a while to realize my drive was just crapped out.
