Or karate or any form of martial arts, really. David Carradine is excluded as he wins by default, so this is everyone else. Screencaps welcome.

Brought up by the random reminder in my brain just now of the 70s TV movie pain of Code Name: Diamond Head, as relentlessly MSTed by Mike and le Bots.

Supersuave love man/secret agent Roy Thinnes, possessed of some absolutely horrible hair, engages a Japanese ninja assassin samurai person (as vaguely described by the good guys, though he too is horribly 70s looking) in an extremely flaccid fight dockside. The key editing trick dreamed up by the pot-smoking technical wizards behind this fight involves showing Thinnes spreading his arms vaguely while the balsa wood that's being driven towards his skull moves aside. This while the camera is mostly shooting up Thinnes's nose.

actually, i think that John Carradine did just fine, especially when they played to his strengths and slowed the footage down.

If you extend the category to 'westerners' Rudy Ray Moore's Human Tornado lords over this thread

Knightrider, where he fights evil Knightrider (David Hasselhoff in a black t-shirt with a black moustache, driving a huge 18 wheeler truck) in the desert, they circle each other and perform some crazy kicks!

James Caan seemed to acquit himself reasonably well in The Killer Elite, which was--despite some good performances (Gig Young and Bo Hopkins!)--was ridiculous.

Gear! (can Jung shill it, Mu?) (Gear!), Monday, 11 April 2005 22:25 (twenty years ago)

Well, the worst is easily Dorian from Love Camp.

If we're including the 80s and Rudy Ray Moore, Michael Winslow in Police Academy
