The second in a long series of inquiring statements from the I Am family of assertions. Just to get it out of the way, here's the apotheosis of these statements: I Am Smelling Like A Rose That Somebody Gave Me On My Birthday Deathbed.

Can you tell I'm sleepy?

David Raposa, Friday, 13 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

okay i will bite Why are you tired.

anthony, Friday, 13 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Sing Dave to sleep...
Sing Dave to sleep...
He's tired, and he...
Wants to go to bed...

Sing Dave to sleep...
Sing Dave to sleep...
And then leave him alone...
Don't try to IM him in the morning...
Because he will be gone...

Don't feel bad for him...
He'll want you to know...
Deep in the cell of his heart...
He'll feel so glad to go...

There is another board...
There is a better board...
Well, there must be...
Bye...
Bye...

Slow night out in Southern California, see.

your watching Behind The Music:Bon Jovi. and it sucks..no wait..thats me

kevin enas, Friday, 13 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I am not feeling tired at all. I feel strangely energised this past day. Probably because I sucked out all Dan's energy with my Tunisian Brain Control Crystal. Hah!

masonic boom, Friday, 13 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i am weary I could sleep for a thousand years a thousand dreams that could awake me. sleep.

Geoff, Friday, 13 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

FYI: I was tired because I was sitting in front of my PC, browsing my usual (& unusual) haunts on the Internet, and that state of hyper- tiredness (where you KNOW you're tired, but you KNOW you won't fall asleep) faded quite quickly. Once again, my efforts to write something constructive stuck to the bowl.

Now, I'm pretty awake. A bit bored, though. I should do writing NOW. YES. Well, maybe later.

David Raposa, Friday, 13 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

How could Behind the Music: Bon Jovi possibly suck?

james e l, Friday, 13 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Because they're BORING. The Barenaked Ladies BTM was better. If it's not about rap, a 70s rock group, or a notorious 80s hair-metal band, BTM = duddo.

David Raposa, Friday, 13 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Exactly what Barenaked Ladies have you been listening to?

Graham, Friday, 13 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

No, no, not the MUSIC, the BEHIND THE MUSIC. God, I can't stand the Barenaked Ladies. But their episode of _Behind the Music_ beats the living snot out of Bon Jovi's. Ooo, they went to strip clubs in Vancouver, ooo. It's nothing more than Motley Crue BTM Lite.

David Raposa, Friday, 13 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It took Canadians one summer to figure out BNL were barely clever.
It took americans years.

anthony, Friday, 13 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i just prefer drugs+sex ruining a band rather than petty conflicts.

kevin enas, Friday, 13 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

David: I was wondering which of "rap, a 70s rock group, or a notorious 80s hair-metal band" you think the Barenaked Ladies are, which you were kind of implying. Oh forget it.

Graham, Friday, 13 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I think the idea was that EVEN the BNL episode was less boring than the Bon Jovi one. EVEN, I stress. EVEN. Has nothing to do with its not being = duddo.

Josh, Friday, 13 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Bing! Josh gets a pint! (For all you keeping score at home: BNL BTM = dud; Bon Jovi BTM = super dud.)

Unfortunately, Josh, you'll have to come to my neck of the woods to get said pint. However, you can take a raincheck, which is redeemable anywhere that I may be until the end of time (or me).

And what do ya know? I'm Tired Again. (AKA I Am Smelling Like A Rose That Somebody Gave Me 'Cause I'm Dead & Bloated.)

David Raposa, Saturday, 14 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Dammit I seem to be accruing TOTALLY INACCESSIBLE pints.

Josh, Saturday, 14 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Then start coming out for meet-ups, you lazy man. Don't give me the lack of money excuse, surely you can go steal some.

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 14 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Not with my finely honed slow-motion method of stealing money from institutions of higher learning. Takes too long, for not enough money. I've only got one trick yo.

Burritoville is probably the wrong answer here, but decision-making skills are impaired.
