Today I've eaten about 800 of these chocolate-covered marshmallow things.

Dooley's donuts. Strawberry ones in particular. I like to have them with a freshly made cop of coffee and pretend I'm in a US cop show.

Also, could we please have a S/D on the various new burgers being offered at Burger King so I know what to eat next time I'm there? The menu turnaround at that place is too fast for my liking.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 19:03 (twenty years ago)

Do cherry-flavored Craisins count as junk food? Cause I'm just gobbling them right now.

donut debonair (donut), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 19:05 (twenty years ago)

could you pls tell me why burger king is worth going to in the first place?? seriously, i asked that question on another thread and never got a good answer. as i see it:

mcdonald's - cheap, diverse menu
wendy's - better all-round, more expensive
hardees- ultraexpensive, small menu, mostly shit, but LOTS OF MEAT

i don't really get what bk brings to the table. but i don't think i've ever eaten at one.

n/a: what chocolate cover marshmallow things, Tuesday, 12 April 2005 19:06 (twenty years ago)

They are called "REAL Chocolate Marshmallow Eggs" and they are easter-themed marshmallows covered in chocolate candies that come in an egg carton, manufactured by Necco . The "REAL" seems a bit defensive.

I have been craving BBQ Fritos lately but haven't seen them around, only the chili cheese Fritos.

n/a (Nick A.), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 19:09 (twenty years ago)

phil-two (phil-two), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 19:11 (twenty years ago)

I wish we got these in the US, they rule.

In the UK, it's a straight BK/McDonalds fight, we don't get the subsidary fast food chains. We could go to KFC, but I quite like to keep my food down after I've eaten it. Surely the dichtomy is:

McDonalds: OK burgers, OK fries
Burger King: Great burgers, horrendous fries

So you tend to pick Maccy D's due to the cost.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 19:13 (twenty years ago)

surely wendy's outstrips bk then, but i'll give them a shot one of these days.

i know this will piss everyone off but i have been taking advantage of that arby's 2 bacon cheddar melts for 3 bucks recently. the last one i had, the bacon tasted like grass. like GRASS.

arbys is great!, Tuesday, 12 April 2005 19:17 (twenty years ago)

I don't know if anyone's been following it, but the lady that found the finger in the Wendy's chili is pretty much the main suspect now. They searched her home, and she's been involved in tons of lawsuits, some with restaurants.

the last one i had, the bacon tasted like grass. like GRASS.

When did you last taste grass, though?

caitlin (caitlin), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 19:21 (twenty years ago)

In 'N Out fries: animal style.

BK is okay, but their buns are for shit.

luna (luna.c), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 19:21 (twenty years ago)

What's animal style again? I forget.

()ops (()()ps), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 19:22 (twenty years ago)

If BK still works the way it did when I was thar (back in 1994) (ah, polyester slacks), they throw their Whopper patties onto the broiler conveyor belt, which lets the flames lick them all nummy nummy, and then they're slapped into buns and put into this steam cabinet beside the burger dressing station, to be fetched when needed. As a result, the bread, it gets a little moist & soggy from time to time. This might be the reason for the buns sucking, though it could just be that the buns suck.

Wendy's is the only fast food place whose burgers don't make me wish for prolapse, so they win by default. In fact, I might stop there tonight (in lieu of making my saltastic cassarole-in-a-box meal).

Also, I'm gonna write a series of sonnets praising the Taco Bell Caramel Apple Empanada. It's like a Hostess Pie, but REALLY GOOD.

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 19:38 (twenty years ago)

i wish i could find a taco bell near me. :-(

maybe...someday, Tuesday, 12 April 2005 19:41 (twenty years ago)

drumsticks are so awesome. A recent trip to the grocery store unearthed mint drumsticks and peanut butter fudge ones. PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE!!

Miss Misery (thatgirl), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 19:49 (twenty years ago)

MINT!

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 19:50 (twenty years ago)

()ops (()()ps), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 19:52 (twenty years ago)

i'm pretty damn sure my variety pack does not contain peanut butter fudge.

Baked Lay's BBQ Chips , oh my.

57 7th (calstars), Thursday, 14 April 2005 19:43 (twenty years ago)

eight years pass...

I am glad lays sriracha chips are such a failure, because if they were good I'd eat a.fuckload of them.

emilys., Tuesday, 7 May 2013 09:37 (twelve years ago)

Yeah, I think the key with Sriracha is that if you want thinks to taste like it, add actual Sriracha to what ever you're eating and voila! It will taste like that.
