My mind is a blank. Can anyone either answer this or preferably point me in the direction of a helpful internet site?

Describe 2 compatibility issues that may be caused by the interaction of hardware, software and operating systems. For each describe how such issues may be avoided.....

I did my computer diploma without the internet.

I have no chance, I know very little about computers - we're having to do this for work but the level of IT support we provide is very very basic, and we've had minimal training. We haven't been provided with books or anything and we've been told to self-teach.

Okay think about trying to get hardware working on a OS for which there is no drivers or minimal driver support, an example might be USB support on Windows 95 when installing a scanner, or an ATI Radeon video card on a Linux Distribution, usually the solution is to choose a different OS or hardware based on the recomedations of the manufacturer, in the case of the scanner use a parallel interface or upgrade to Windows 98SE/2000/XP for proper USB support or for the ATI Card use Windows XP or change to a Nvidia or Matrox card which hae better Linux support.

That's fab, that just about covers everything they've asked. I thank you one million times.
