Pancakes I think are better as a concept, but typically if you eat out it's easier to find good french toast than good pancakes. At least that's been my experience.

I'll always go for french toast if faced with the choice, but pancakes seem more versatile in a way. I just made some french toast and it's damn good.

Though I'm not unconvinced that Belgian Waffles totally pants both of them, I mean it's breakfast but it's basically cake covered in super sugary fruit thing plus tons of whipped cream. I mean that can't go wrong.

I made pancakes this morning! I am trying not to freak out about them. They kind of creep me out. Or, pancake batter does. Because then I think about, well, maybe the pancakes aren't cooked all the way through, and I feel disgusted and shiver and... blrughgh.

French toast is too eggy, though. I don't like eggs. But then again French toast can be awesome, whereas pancakes are always pretty all right at best.
