I guess high pitched people can't really help themselves, but what's with the stupid sing-song voice?

I deal with people on the phone and sometimes I want to hang up by the time they've introduced themselves...

Sing-Song: I love the sound of little children speaking Spanish, because it sounds like everything is a question.

I may get in trouble for this, but gay people who speak with that high-pitched voice thing - what the fuck?

That interests me - do they develop it when they realise they are gay?

Or is it with them from birth until one day their mates say "hey - you sound gay" - to which they reply, "You're right girlfriend - so I do, maybe I am! In fact what the hell - I've got the voice, let's get the boys!"

I have had a lot of Indian-born and Indian-American (not American-Indian... dots, not feathers) friends for someone who grew up in the backwoods Midwest. I always really liked their accent and the cadence with which they spoke, seemed very sing-songy to me.

High pitched people are annoying, though. Except when they get really mad and excited, then they're just funny.
