what does that mean?

kelsey (kelstarry), Saturday, 16 April 2005 18:44 (twenty years ago)

that means they are stereo tracks.

it's in "rectified" mode & i can't find the place to put it back in "normal" mode. that's the problem.

my tracks are in mono.

three months pass...
Okay, who can tell me about exporting songs? As in, when it's all mixed, what's the best way to get the whole song out of Pro Tools as a wav file?

The 'export selected tracks' option was disabled, so we did 'Bounce to disk' and it worked but the wav files are unnaturally quiet. It sounded loud in Pro Tools and the master fader was up.

(just when I finally get comfortable with Cubase, my friend has to switch to Mac and Pro Tools, argh)

Normalise then bounce?

Normalise?

Jordan (Jordan), Monday, 1 August 2005 13:16 (twenty years ago)

haha

go to "add tracks" and select a master stereo fader track. This will appear in the edit window and all audio will be sent to the master fader. You can set the master volume that way, making sure to keep it from clipping. Then bounce to disk.

Thank you, Jon!

I seem to remember my friend doing that, but it's very possible that we fucked that step up.

I hope this becomes like the hairdye thread.

six years pass...

I must be an idiot, but for the life of me I can't find the button that enables/disables keyboard shortcuts in PT8. It used to be next to 'Tab to Transient' in 7.4, now it isn't.

Okay, it's the tiny little square in the corner of each window now. Thanks everyone.
