ITT: I miss the NHL playoffs

Not to sound too lame, but I miss NHL hockey. The first round of the playoffs would be underway right now, if there were a season. I wonder what the matchups would have been. My team likely wouldn't have even qualified, but that wouldn't matter. There would have been games on TV every night, except on weekends where there would be afternoon games too. Even boring games filled with ultra-defensive play involving teams from cities where people don't even know what hockey is would have been interesting. I miss the NHL playoffs.

I miss having a viable reason to drink.

I've never been so much into early season baseball. So the void has been filled.

I was watching a old timey hockey documentary (the Original Six Era, I think) and although I wasn't around, it somehow made me miss those days.

But hey, I got to see the Frozen Four this year.

it got pretty bad here, they were covering peter forsberg's swedish team for a bit but luckily moved on to DU winning the NCAA championship.

Atleast the World Championships are coming up in a couple weeks, with better players than usual. Watching it will probably just make me miss the playoffs more =\
