Interviewing yer (ahum) idol

So I might be able to interview one of my idols next week. I am so nervous calling up his manager, that I fear the interview itself will be me, a pair of wet pants and him laughing at my face instead of answering my questions.
Anyway who would you like to interview?
Interviewing your idol: dud cause it makes you realize s/he's human?

I had a nightmare last night as a result: I forgot to bring the tape recorder.

I guess that the person I would just love to interview is Mr Jean Charest. I have met him briefly, and he would be to me a very interesting man to interview indeed! I could think of many things to ask him. Gale

He is extraordinary not to mention brilliant! In fact he lives out my way. :) Gale

I got to watch my friend interview J Mascis, her highschool rock star crush. It was painful to listen to but he seemed way more professional about it then Id expect.

I've never met my idol and probably never will. To me.. she's already about as (in)human as I am (which is why I love her). Interviewing her would be interesting, maybe because we don't speak the same language.

I helped interview Man or Astro-man? once. It was cool...but after the show our tape had gotten wiped!

Interviewed Kevin Shields and handled it pretty well, I think! It helped that he was a total motormouth so I didn't have to flail for questions, and that it was on the phone not face to face. Judge for yourself, though.

I only did it once, and thank fuck it was an e-mail interview. It was embarrassing tho, that most of my questions were longer than his answers. :-|

Two of my most note-worthy interviews: Mike Leigh and Antony Minghella. I enjoyed both. Mike Leigh was grumpy, but in the end I think he felt sorry for me - it was my first interview! Antony Minghella was absolutely delightful. Really nice man - we had a chat about our respective experiences of the Isle of Wight, and it felt like he had all the time in the world for me.

I think it is good to meet them. It definitely makes them more 'human'

Idols should be killed not interviewed, as any fuel nose.

I'd like to slow-roast My Vitriol's Som Wardner on a spit to the strains of "How Does It Feel To Feel?" for failing to respond to all but one of the questions I sent him for an email interview earlier this year.

An actual interview probably wouldn't be a good thing since the one time I actually did meet and speak to mine, despite having only say, ten seconds, I still managed to say something monumentally stupid. Si I think I'll adore from afar thank you very much.
