So a friend and I are having a conversation on IM right now about cloning. And we've come to wonder if, when or if this technology becomes possible, will people ever consider having sex with their own clone?

I'm somewhat startled to realize that I sort of would look at this as semi-equivalent to masturbation. Sure, you're fooling around with a clone of youself, but it is, in fact, yourself (subtract all the moral jabbering about clones having their own personalities and eventually taking over the world, etc.). So would this act be totally messed up or would most people think it was acceptable?

Part of the reason I wonder is because I've heard literally dozens of guys in my lifetime explain that if they could give themself a blowjob they'd "never leave the house." Which, to me, seems as though it would indicate that this person thinks sex between two guys is acceptable. But any time i've ever asked about that the person always maintains that it's a totally heterosexual desire and in no way means that they support homosexuality.

So would canoodling with a clone of yourself lead you to wonder about your own darkest desires or would you just look at it as "pleasuring youself"? Would you actually consider yourself homosexual at that point or would you be totally cool with it? This is a tough one.

My clone would be quite young so I don't think it'd be approprate. Unless you're talking about some kind of Logan's Run instant clone that looks just like you do. Then all kinds of creepy stuff could happen.

Better yet: A time machine that would let the current you go into the future and pleasure the aged you. You might appreciate if you're like 81 and not getting any.

yes, that's true. but would that be any different or would that stop you from going down on your own clone or vice versa? for the simple reason you site as being able to get someone to go down on your whenever you want. to quote George Michael: "this is a tricky gray area."

whoa, let's get something clear here. the original topic was talking about an exact clone of yourself as you are right this second.
