I'm 389% funnier than any of my coworkers.

One guy makes occasionally dry comments that are chuckle-worthy, but they really have no keen sense of humor in any modern sense. One made a joke today about Wendy's new line of "finger foods"! She thought it was so funny she repeated it.

I put on headphones to avoid the corn that they consider humor.

Is her name Wendy?

andy, I am about that much, percentage-wise, funnier than my co-workers, too. Except they never laugh at anything I say. STUPID FOOLS!

Well, I may be only 300% funnier.

I think I just hold back and edit myself - and only quality emerges. Whereas the aforementioned finger-food girl thinks aloud, and anything SHE finds funny she shares with the whole office. Oddly, the most unfunny guy here is actually an aspiring standup comic, and goes to open mic bars around the city to hone his unfunny act.

Andy, until recently I did not notice your existence at all. Then someone or other wrote about how good your threads were. Since that moment I have been paying attention. And I have to admit, your threads are pretty good!

I have noticed my co-workers think anything they say is hilarious as hell. Like Co worker #1 will say "Oh my god I pressed 'send' on accident!" and she'll start roffling like crazy, for like 30 seconds.

I like me Eyeball's remark.

Thankfully I've got a couple of extremely dryly funny/sarcastic coworkers with whom I feel at home. Beyond that, things vary...

One place I worked out was totally a wit-free area.

"Anarchy, by it's very nature and definition, does not rule. It prevails."

That was the closest I ever heared to funny.

I have almost no tolerance for that sense of humour - like your coworker and her roffling fit, Mandee. But you kind of have to play along to a certain extent if you work closely with these people. It's possibly one of the most painful parts of any job - fake smiles and fake office talk about weekends and blah blah blah. That said, I think I lost my ability to play along four years ago, though this coincided with gaining my ability to pull a really good "wtf?" face.

I thought that "finger foods" line was pretty good.

Same story here.

If you think quoting, "It's just a fleshwound" is witty and original, then this place is a laugh fucking riot.

diedre mousedropping (Dave225), Tuesday, 26 April 2005 17:21 (twenty years ago)

Wow, usually I am pretty good for pretending to think something's amusing, but today I am just not having it. I'm being a huge grump. And people are leaving me alone!!! I should do this more often!!

This thread title made me think it would be a satire of ILXors.

I am kinda awestruck that this wasn't initially a Mandee thread!

My roommate is funnier than me. He is very funny, though, so that's all good.
