I saw BLACKJACK on TV one (probably on The Game Channel) - you think TV poker's inscrutable, try watching people count cards for more than one hand. I eagerly await watching folks play THE SLOTS on my TV.

seems like TV poker has settled into a decent slot as the late night thing on a bunch of 4th rate sports networks. I can tell you why nobody watches this anymore, all the personalities are so fucking lame. this is a world in which Phil Hellmuth is considered a magnetic personality. the WPT booth is so weird, you've got a nearly 70 year old Vince Van Patten along with this complete nerd, who I'm sure is really good at poker and a nice guy but I could do this job better than him. I remember a bunch of players correctly predicting the internet kids would ruin this, because they probably really were way better than the brick & mortar players but they had no personality. the idea of a poker celebrity now is a fuckin Youtuber dork like Doug Polk.
