It is the year 2005, and after celebrities gained the right to vote in the Millennium Amnesty, harsh reforms have been pushed through which mandate you can only vote for celebrities born locally!

Who's on your local ticket, and who do you vote for?

I guess it's Phil Donahue -VS- Jerry Springer. I'm a traditionalist & I pick Donahue.

also, it turns out Jerry was born in London. Deceiving the public once again!

Dennistoun boasts the following (I'm going on 'lived/grew up' as well as 'born':
Alasdair Gray, artist/author
John Higgins, snooker player
Lulu, singer
Michelle Mone, entrepreneur (Ultimo bra)
Dorothy Paul, panto favourite
Gordon Ramsay, swearist
Alex Kapranos, date of birth not stated! (actually, I think he's moved west now that he's in the money)

I think I go with Higgins

Although being Wizard of Wishaw might exclude him.

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 28 April 2005 12:15 (twenty-one years ago)

oops, mine only LIVE locally.

Penelope_111 (Penelope_111), Thursday, 28 April 2005 12:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah: I decided to do that or else we'll have three million people in Killiney/Notting Hill/LA.

Me: Pierce Brosnan, Tommy Tiernan, Dylan Moran. I'll vote for Dylan, because he hates everything, as opposed to the other two, who mostly just hate Navan.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Thursday, 28 April 2005 12:30 (twenty-one years ago)

taye diggs vs. philip seymour hoffman vs. john lithgow

choices, choices...

tehresa (tehresa), Thursday, 28 April 2005 12:39 (twenty-one years ago)

I have no idea what celebrities were born where I live. Possibly Eddie Izzard and Raymond Briggs, both of whom are welcome to represent me.

Archel (Archel), Thursday, 28 April 2005 12:39 (twenty-one years ago)

I think all the famous Putney dudes are deceased. Clement Attlee, Captain Oates, Thomas Cromwell, Walter Swinburne, Edward Gibbon... ooh, some alive people: novelist Patrick Neate, footballer Peter Bonetti, film auteur Carol Reed, and an actual politician - step forward Teresa Gorman, MP for Billericay.

My vote goes to Captain Oates.
