iCal syncing?

I have a question with a most likely simple answer, but as of yet, it's eluded me. I would like to find a way to sync my iCal calendar on my home and work computers using my iPod as the middleman. I thought that iSync could do it but it appears that iSync only uploads to the iPod and does not download to the computer. This is a problem because ideally I would make changes to my calendar at work, upload them to my iPod and then download the new updated calendar to my home computer once I got home. This seems simple but I have yet to figure it out or find an app to make this happen. Anyone else have any suggestions? Ideally this is a one button solution similar to how iSync works - totally easy. The only work-around I've come up with is to actually copy and paste the iCal files from the iPod to the computer. This seems really sloppy. There must be a better way. Please help...

Thanks for the suggestions, but I am not interested in viewing my calendar online. I am just looking for a method to keep both my work and home computer's iCals synced up, using the iPod as the transportation device for the data. I am looking for an offline method.

.MAC SYNCS UP ALL YOUR COMPUTERS AND YOUR IPOD, OK? IT'S NOT "VIEWING YOUR CALENDAR ONLINE"

Cutty - I concede that the .Mac/iSync combo appears to be much more robust that I realized but your statement that "it's not viewing your calendar online" is not entirely true. It should read "it's not ONLY FOR viewing your calendar online" because "viewing your calendar (and contact info and bookmarks) online" is certainly one of Apple's main selling points on that .mac/iSync combo.

I am glad to find out more about this option but I would still like to find a way to utilize my iPod to transport the iCal info rather than paying for the .mac service. It seems like someone would have created a little add-on app that would make downloading the iCal info from the iPod as simple as it is to upload it with iSync...

IT'S NOT SIMPLY "VIEWING YOUR CALENDAR ONLINE"

ok, in all seriousness: i think isync with .mac does this, does it not? plug in the ipod and sync.
