I watched this last night. It was pretty damed awesome. It was definitely very American Idol in it's format (auditions before a panel of judges in different cities [Seattle, New Orleans, etc]), but, like chefs are so much more interesting (and entertainingly cocky) than aspiring karaoke superstars.

So, like, did anyone else see this?

The best bit I thought was during the egg challenge, where the chefs are given one egg (plus a small variety of other ingredients) and ten minutes. Everyone did some kinda omelet, poached egg, etc etc, except this one really charming, confident, soft-spoken kid showed them all up by baking a souffle inside the eggshell.
