Help needed fast! What is a Nintendo DS?

Is it hand held? Console? Why is it special? I need to know for work believe it or not. I'm not down with the gaming paterns of the youth.

it's handheld. it's special cos it's dual screen. the bottom screen is touch sensitive and it comes with a stylus. plus it has some wireless networking palavar.

It's a hand held console. It opens up like a clamshell, because it has two screens. It has touchscreen and motion detection and lots of cool features that nintendo will release cool games for, though Sony's PSP may well beath it to death by having more games that people are familiar with (like the handheld version of Wipeout, originally a big hit for the Playstation 9 years ago).

that's funny, the first hit i get off of google is nintendo's offical site, which seems to have a wealth of technical information about the nintendo DS.

At that FAP just before christmas I had my DS with me, and I offered to let you have a go with it Anna, but you rose above us and our nerdygeek ways. Sorry now though, aren'tcha, eh? :)
