people who think on their feet or chinstrokers - what are you and WHO DO YOU LOVE !!!!!

, Sunday, 9 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I think on my feet...pondering is labourious. Who do I love? hmmm...I'll have to think about this...

james, Sunday, 9 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I've handled both with equal aplomb. I've also handled both with equally disastrous results.

Ned Raggett, Sunday, 9 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I don't know which I am. I never shut up so probably think on my feet. All my friends are pretty much the same. I like lots of chinstroker people but am not very good friends with too many. Just acquaintances really.

Two nights ago as i walked down George St some bogans drove past me slowly in a big rusty valiant. They were leaning out the windows and leering. Then suddenly one of them said 'Hey blondie!' and threw what I believe was a hamburger crust at me. I should have picked it up and thrown it back in the window, but I wasn't fast enough. I suck.

No Rainy, you rule

Graham, Sunday, 9 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

rainy, Sunday, 9 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I like people who think on their feet. I cant say which category I belong to, I am not sure

Menelaus Darcy, Sunday, 9 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Rainy's blonde? How can that be?

Mark C, Monday, 10 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

What's your problem with blonde hair, Mark?

Nick, Monday, 10 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I shoot from the hip, but I'd rather keep a tight lip.

Sterling Clover, Monday, 10 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

one year passes...
I don't know if I am slow or quick. Someone else will have to tell me.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 27 July 2003 11:26 (twenty-two years ago)

you are quick n.

whether I am quick or slow it does not matter as long as you hate/love me.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Sunday, 27 July 2003 11:31 (twenty-two years ago)

i am slow, i like both kinds. but not too fast or too slow

minna (minna), Sunday, 27 July 2003 11:48 (twenty-two years ago)

"Hmm.. you're kind of boring paced"

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 27 July 2003 11:53 (twenty-two years ago)

see that was quick.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Sunday, 27 July 2003 11:58 (twenty-two years ago)

7 minutes? (ok I didn't actually see it till 5 seconds before but in real life 5 seconds is a long time!)

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 27 July 2003 12:00 (twenty-two years ago)

no it isn't.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Sunday, 27 July 2003 12:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Whoops 5 minutes, not 7 - I can't count.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 27 July 2003 12:01 (twenty-two years ago)

In conversation, most opportunities for wisecracks are lost by the time 5 seconds are up.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 27 July 2003 12:02 (twenty-two years ago)

i intentionally waited a long time to answer this thread again. but there was still quite a long time that passed between me reading the last bits and then deciding to do this.
n. where is that quote from?

minna (minna), Sunday, 27 July 2003 12:03 (twenty-two years ago)

It's not a quote. I put in in quotation marks because I was imagining it being said.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 27 July 2003 12:06 (twenty-two years ago)

''In conversation, most opportunities for wisecracks are lost by the time 5 seconds are up.''

:-( for me.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Sunday, 27 July 2003 12:08 (twenty-two years ago)

It was kind of playing on the 'boring-sized' comment from Mandee on the Tall Men thread.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 27 July 2003 12:09 (twenty-two years ago)

ah. no i wouldn't say that.

minna (minna), Sunday, 27 July 2003 12:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, no - you like 'em boring paced.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 27 July 2003 12:18 (twenty-two years ago)

yes, i do. (this about 1 hr later?)

minna (minna), Sunday, 27 July 2003 13:16 (twenty-two years ago)

J'aime l'esprit d'escalier.

Jerry le Nippeur (Jerrynipper), Sunday, 27 July 2003 13:24 (twenty-two years ago)

It's not usually that late that I think of things. It's more just like a few seconds too late for the timing to work. Actually, it's more often just needing a little too long to get the wording right.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 27 July 2003 13:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Basically, you know how people say "Life's not a dress rehearsal"? Well fuck that - one day I'm going to suggest rerunning a night in a pub / at a party whatever until I get it just right. Like a crime reconstruction but no crime, just wisecracks and seduction.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 27 July 2003 13:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, kind of like Groundhog Day.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 27 July 2003 13:40 (twenty-two years ago)

'Wisecracks and Seduction' should be the title of your autobiog. N.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Sunday, 27 July 2003 13:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I've already settled on 'Sorry Dad - I failed'.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 27 July 2003 22:58 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't really need to answer this one do I?

Millar (Millar), Sunday, 27 July 2003 23:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Hurry up!
