How can I bang my head without getting rock neck? Is it even possible?

moley, Sunday, 1 May 2005 00:56 (twenty years ago)

what is it moley? is it the same as what you get when you sleep in a weird position?

gem (trisk), Sunday, 1 May 2005 01:51 (twenty years ago)

maybe if you have a mullet as well it might be some kind of reverse buffer

gem (trisk), Sunday, 1 May 2005 01:55 (twenty years ago)

Man, this brings back memories of being in tenth grade and having long hair and blowing out speakers. Guns and Roses did it every time. Also, Nirvana.

Rock neck: yes, gem, it feels like when you've slept in the wrong position. It has the added cruel dimension that you have only yourself to blame.

Also, that you were headbangin' to start with ;D

Mix up the headbangin' with hairwhippin' — y'know, a little rotation.

STRETCH! WARM UP! neck rolls, you know. while you wait that 1/2 hr between opener and headliner

Slumpman's advice makes intuitive sense.

moley, Monday, 2 May 2005 20:35 (twenty years ago)

it would only work in a zero gravity rock club tho

Wear braces (pants, not teeth).

Attach a tight headband.

Join elastic from the headband to the braces, two to the back and two to the front.

Now, according to my calculations, if you let your neck go limp and get someone to punch you in the back of the head every 15 minutes, you should be able to rock out without any pain, or indeed effort.
