They had a marathon of the first 4 episodes when I was in Texas with the boy. I was absolutely astounded, honestly.

The best is the big six-legged furry thing they ride across the sky on the back of that grunts occasionally.

I hope it comes out on DVD eventually.

So, tell me this fellows, has he learned to master any other bending besides air yet? I know he was on a quest to learn to master all 4 elements.

I really want to watch this show, but cable is, like, expensive, man.

Or is he still just flying around trying to ride exotic animals still?

he's kind of a natural at water-bending, which really cheeses off the adorable Eskimoesque water-bender chick

that's all I know so far.

fifteen years pass...

peace, man, Friday, 15 May 2020 12:15 (five years ago)

I am moderately annoyed because I bought the series for a pretty amount of coin rather recently.

So buttons. (Leee), Tuesday, 19 May 2020 22:02 (five years ago)

four years pass...

So the Avatar novels (NOT the comics) are great; the second Kyoshi book is an utter banger.

Don't know if you're implying that you don't like the comics or just haven't read them, but I thought the first few stories written by Mike and Bryan (and Gene Luen Yang) were excellent, with beautiful art, and dialogue really capturing the characters. Not as good when they handed it off to new writers and illustrators though

I wasn't aware there were novels at all!

The art in the comics is indeed gorgeous, but I found the writing in them to be a lot flatter and more shallow than the shows.
