Surviving Desire is superb and perhaps the best thing Hartley has ever done. The short that comes with it, Ambition, is almost as good.

Yeah, I love(d) that one, haven't seen it in years (should dust off the videotape). Kinda obvious since Martin Donovan was *me* at the time, same attitude/glare, same hair and heavy into Brothers Karamazov. 'Trust' is my favourite btw.
