I use it before and after PLUR as well as SSRI, mary j, asprin and antioxidents afterwards. RAVE SAFE DUDE

it helps your brain to release more seratonin. it was pitched to me by a friend as a "comedown cure" but i think it's supposed to be taken regularly: more like a vitamin suplement than an aspirin

helps you focus and not feel depressed, too. Start with 100mg per day and maybe switch to 50mg later on, although I think 100mg is safe enough everyday. I hope so because that's what I've been taking for quite a while now.

It's best taken for about 3 days after a night of severe revelry. I don't have it regularly but definitely two a day after a comedown.

...it does not make ME sleepy, anyway. Probably at higher doses it would, but 100mg is generally the max recommended and I take that every day.

I've found the following side effects:

Getting really weird and vivid dreams (I slep-walked)
Being generally in a good mood but a little emotionally OTT at times
Constipation

These may be side effects of 3c5tasy comedwon though.

eleven months pass...

Hi. I have been taking 75 mg SSRI for many years. Have always been an oversleeper and LOOOVe my deep sleeps. Tend to be a night owl, sleep all day. Obviously interferes with life. Managed over last year to be asleep by 11:00 p.m. Still tend to sleep until 10:00 a.m. BUT NOW I HAVE INSOMNIA. So I researched and increased my SSRI 50 mg and added 250 mg tryptophan. Couldn't sleep at all. After 6 days stopped extra 50 mg SSRI-worried that maybe I was experiencing the dreaded seratonin syndrome. Increased tryptophan to 500 mg for 10 more days-only got a gut ache and not much sleep. Got pissed off and stopped taking it and now am sleeping like a baby again but am back to my night owl ways. Was REALLY hoping to obtain a normal 24 hour sleep pattern and all research indicated that this was the way to go.
Any suggestions other than a tryptophan increase to a minimum of 1 gram per day? my guts couldn't take it. Curious about why it didn't work

I don't know. It seems to work for me, especially after a weekend on the doobs.

Since I've been taking it, I can't remember the last time I had the blues, although I also bought an SAD lamp at the same time as I started taking them, so maybe that's helped too.
