How did I end up with what looks like a Chinese coin when I thought I was getting a quarter?

maybe its like that kids programme the queens nose- its a special coin that grants wishes when rubbed in a certian way.....

I think it came with some "Chinese" take-out from what I already had thought was a Korean-owned restaurant.
