I think it went very well. Thanks to everyone who turned up. Thanks to everyone who helped organise it (especially by taking resposibility for venue etc. over from useless me). Thanks to anyone who brought an award along. Thanks very much to the people who went out of their way to pop in for half an hour/twenty minutes - it was great to see you all however briefly. Thanks to the people who turned up who might have been a bit worried about turning up. Thanks to Suzy for recommending a curry house which served 20 people uncomplainingly and made me a very nice rogan josh. It was great - hooray for ILE!

It was good to meet some posters for the first time, including Fatnick (superb), Pinefox, Mark E Hester (very nice chap; sorry if I was a bit incoherent, but still difficult to talk about you-know-what face-to-face) and Suzy (great fun, cheered me up no end, not at all flummoxed by my mistaking her for Ms Grinch and cowering in pitiful terror). And not forgetting shock cameo appearance by Ben Watson in superb shirt!

Still haven't met Robin C - you must come down.

I would also very much like to meet Nicole (I don't think I've knowingly met her at ILx assemblies) 'cos she's been very nice to me on and off these boards and also, if my memory's correct, she was (is?) at UNL doing the same Masters course as Laura, and I'd be interested to know whether she ever came into contact with my late wife (tho' I think they might have been in different years).

L's course tutor was Rosemary McGuinness, if that rings any bells.
