No way should Westlife guy have beaten A1 curtain-guy to Best Male Haircut.

And well done to S Club 7 for getting Record of the Year on Saturday night. Don't Stop Movin' rocks.

Jonnie, Monday, 10 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

kylie was ROBBED of best record! S club 7 - i shall FITE you yet!

katie, Monday, 10 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I was very disturbed at how close Blue came in the popular vote. And amused at the anchoring of all MOBO music in the bottom five slots (except poss in London? - missed the Carlton/LWT vote)

Nick, Monday, 10 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

My Tarkus warped brain really thought for a brief and happy moment that Osama Bin Laden would win Best Male Hairdo. Nicky Westlife has shit hair.

Emma, Monday, 10 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh, I was so upset for Kylie too! She is the only over 30 in the contest, at least. So Blue did not make it in the end...I know someone who must be sobbing in the corner

Laetitia, Monday, 10 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Cathy Dennis did well to pen two of the top three songs of the year. I share Nick's unease at Blue being so popular, it was getting hairy as the vote progressed.

Jonnie, Monday, 10 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

All Rise RoXor. But Blue does not deserve it for extremely lacklustre follow-up.

Seeing Cathy Dennis on TOTP2 brought back memories. She wore that catsuit well for a tractor girl.

Destiny's child and MC PP etc came bottom in the Carlton vote too Nick, we were scaring the locals in the Hen and Chickens cheering S Club's votes come in. Beer is bad for me.

don't stop movin easily beats kylie's thin ass. FITE would be too one- sided. rahhh!

Alan Trewartha, Monday, 10 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Alan, you frighten me. What is there to like about don't stop moving that kylie does not provide? irritating tune, chorus and video sequence with choreographed dancing?

Menelaus Darcy, Monday, 10 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I was round my parents for lunch today, and they have a painting which is of a white-robed, turbanned and bearded chap being run over by a bicycle! Bombing the Tora Bora isn't going to do no good - flush him out with a Chopper!

Mark C, Monday, 10 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Can I just say how fucking sick I am of all this perfectly chreographed dancing in videos? Why don't they do some interesting dancing for once, which could be acheived by breaking the legs and arms of all of S Club 7 or Kylie Minogue or who ever and put them on an stage that vibrates and shakes at an INTENSE pace? Eh?

I really miss Betty Boo.

Chris Lyons, Monday, 10 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I take it you've never seen Paul Cattermole dance
