wearing a white Sergio Tachini tracksuit? and, maybe a headband?

gareth, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

only if you intend to time-travel back to 1985. Actually if you time- travelled to 1985 and visited Enfield you probably couldn't get away without one.

You have it large, you nuttah! In what context, Gareth? If you wear clothes with enough confidence you can get away with practically anything. Are you going for the 'Beverley Hills golf-playing sugar daddy' look?

Will, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

No, no way.

RickyT, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

minus headband you would be mr happy-hardcore, otherwise you would just be odd, but this might not be a bad thing ;-)

Ed, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes, but without the headband of course and depending on your choice of trainers. ;)

Omar, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I agree with Omar. Adidas Borneos would complete the look to a tee.

Will, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

If it's snowing over there, you'll blend in with the scenery.

helen fordsdale, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

As London snow tends to be brownish grey and very short lived I fear Gareth would stand out like a proverbial sore thumb. However it is very misty and foggy right now so a white tracksuit would be like being invisible. Cool.

Emma, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Has Gareth gone zany?

Nick, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

More wacky, I think.

RickyT, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Gareth, it's Tacchini. Are you trying to tell us that living near to the TERRACES is getting to you?

suzy, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

suzy, i don't get it! when was Gareth talking about pasta? :)

katie, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Amusing aside: util I realised was short for moustache, 'tache = wearer of Tacchini in my mind's eye. But then I had the drummer of Frankie Goes To Hollywood to support this hypothesis.

suzy, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ah, just pose with a zuchinni (CALLING THE AMERICAN TRANSLATORS) and a headband and you'd be fine. At least if one prominent poster has anything to say about it. Admittedly you might get a bit nippy so I suggest having some bacofoil blankets on standby.

Sarah, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i am sure that we'd all hate to see the hair (tm) constricted by the dastardly head band

Menelaus Darcy, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

bacofoil is the best word ever.

Kim, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Gareth should get a tight perm to go with the tracksuit. That's the finishing touch that this outfit cries out for.

Nicole, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Eh Nic, calm down.

Will, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Make me :-P

Nicole, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Eh? Eh? Eh?

WIll, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Just sit back and think of H. Baxendale, it will make you feel better.

Nicole, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

one year passes...
a good time to revive i think!

gareth (gareth), Friday, 13 June 2003 08:52 (twenty-two years ago)

But it will make you a tool of the oppressor, or something.

Matt (Matt), Friday, 13 June 2003 09:04 (twenty-two years ago)

do you think i could get away with not reading the indie trucker hat thread?

mark s (mark s), Friday, 13 June 2003 09:15 (twenty-two years ago)

probably not. It just sits there like a great fat thing loudly demanding.
