My 'goals' sheet for the next year is due tomorrow at 5 PM. I haven't written a damn thing and my mind is drawing a blank. Plus, I have too much work to do, so I don't know how I'm going to fill it out.

Part I: For this performance year, identify and describe your plans for significant accomplishments or project activities.

Part II. For this performance year, identify some specific goals based on your role in the organization and your job responsibilities, blah blah blah.

Part III. Career Planning - List at least one career goal.

How about some vague twaddle about 'personal development', career ambitions, inter-personal skills, improved communicationsn etc. You'd never tell my own pitiful 'career' was something of a bad joke would you? (Warning: Tom's bad mood is contagious)

Say you want to go on more courses. Especially management type ones. Career progression, mention stuff like learning about e-policy, knowledge management, developing intranets...You work in a library right? (wrong?)

six years pass...

One of my goals for 08 was to cut my credit card debt by 2/3, but thanks to the unexpected influx of a finaid grant, I met that goal today!

If I keep paying at my regular double-the-minimum I'll be completely paid off by June. So amped, especially considering that when I planned for this I didn't expect to be paid off until June of 09.
