By now you are surely curious to know what small changes to make. If you sent a letter like this one out, in order to be completely legal, you must actually sell something in order to receive a dollar in return. So when you send a dollar to each of the names on the list, you must include these words, “PLEASE PUT ME ON YOUR MAILING LIST” and include your name and address. This is the key to the program. The item you will receive for the dollar you sent to the six people below is the letter. At the time I first tried this idea, I was earning a good living as a lawyer. But everyone in the legal profession will tell you there is a lot of stress that comes with the job. I told myself if things worked out, I would retired from my practice and play golf. I decided to try the letter again, but this time I sent 500 copies. Three months later , I had totaled $2,341,178! Here are a few reasons a person might give for not trying this program: Ø Some people think they can never make a lot of money with anything this simple. Ø Some are afraid they will be ridiculed for trying Ø Some dream of large sums of money, but do nothing to actually achieve it. Ø Some are just plain lazy. Ø Some are afraid of losing their investment. They think this program is designed to beat them out of a few dollars.THIS IS ABSOLUTELY LEGAL! You are requesting a legitimate service and you are paying for it! Like most of us I was a little skeptical and a little worried about the legal aspects of it all. So I checked it out with the U.S. Post Office (1-800-725-2161) and they confirmed that it is indeed legal! If you have any doubts, refer to Title 18 Sec. 1302 & 1341 of the Postal lottery laws. The system works if you will just try it. But you must follow the simple instructions exactly, and in less than three months, you will receive $800,000 GUARANTEED! Keep what you are doing to yourself for awhile. Many will tell you it won`t work and will try to talk you out of your dreams. Let them know of your success after it works.
LETTERS FROM PARTICIPANTS IN THIS PROGRAM: My name is David Rhodes. In 1992 my car was repossessed and bill collectors were housing my. I was laid off and my unemployment ran out. In October of 1992, I received a letter telling me how to earn $800,000 anytime I wanted. Of course, I was skeptical. But because I was so desperate and virtually had nothing to lose, I gave it a try. In January 1993, my family and I went on a 10-day cruise. The next month I bought a brand new Mercedes with cash! I am currently building a home in Virginia and I will never have to work again. This money program really works perfectly every time. I have never failed to receive less than $500,000. This is a legitimate, money-making opportunity. It does not require you to sell anything or to come in contact with people. And , best of all, you only leave the house to mail the letters. If you have always believed that someday you would get the lucky break, then simply follow the instructions and make dreams come true.
Larry McMahon, Norfolk, VA Six months ago, I received this letter and ignored it. Five more came within a period of time and I ignored them also. I was tempted, but I was convinced that they were just a Hoax. After three weeks of deliberating, I decided to give it a try ( not expecting much ). Two weeks went by and nothing happened. The fourth week was unbelievable! I cant say I received $800,000 but I received $400,000. For the first time in years, I am debt free. I am doing this again, only this time starting with 500 post. I strongly recommend that you follow the instructions exactly as outlined in this letter.
INSTRUCTIONS:1. Immediately send $1.00 to each of the six people on the list at the end of this letter. Wrap the dollar bill in a note saying “ Please add me to your mailing list” and include your name and address. 2. Copy this letter. You do not have to type it 200 times. Simply place your cursor at the top of the page, hold it and drag it all the way down to the end of the letter. Then click on "edit" and select "copy". Now open up a notepad file on your computer and put the cursor at the top of the page in the notepad, click on 'edit' and then select 'paste' it will copy the letter for you onto your computer. 3. Remove the name next to the #1 on the list and move the rest of the names up one position (#2 becomes #1, #3 becomes #2, etc…..) Then place your name in the #6 position. Then save it, make sure it is saved as a txt. file. 4. When you have completed the instructions, take this letter and then go to (Google,Yahoo,...) and type in (Making Money Massege board,or post massege,...)and start posting your copy to 200 message boards,or more this is only the minimum, you can post as much as you like...The more copies you send the better the results. Keep a copy of this letter so you can use it a second time. Post it out again in six months, but Post it with the addresses you receive with each dollar. It will work better the second time. Don’t forget regular mail is always an option.
NOTE: This service is 100% legal - (Refer to title 18 section 1302 of the U.S. Postal & lottery laws) How does it work? When you send out 200 Posts, it is estimated that at least 15 people will respond and send you a $1.00. ($15.00) Those 15 will Post 200 Posts each and 225 people send you $1.00 ($225.00) Those 225 people Post 200 Posts each and 3,375 people send you $1.00 ($3,375.00) Those 3,375 post 200 posts each and 759,375 people send you $1.00 ($759,375.00) At this point your name drops off the list, but so far you have received $813,615.00. If you have any questions please email me @ Aviviano@copper.net
Thank-you,A. Viviano
P.S. When your money begins to come in, give the first 10% to charity with spirit and share a good fortune!

Make $$ Thru PayPal - As Seen on Oprah MAKE MONEY THROUGH PAYPAL!AS SEEN ON 60 MINUTES & OPRAH!That's Right $40,000 dollars in your PayPal account and that's NOBULL!!! - AND IT WAS PROVEN ON OPRAH, NATIONAL TV & COMPLETELY LEGAL!!! $10 Dollars... That's all it takes...I'll try to keep it short and sweet. To get started just right mouse click and copy this whole page andpaste it in an e-mail to edit it. Simply follow the instructions below andin 2 to 3 weeks, you will have at least $40,000 dollars in your PayPalaccount. Most people respond to this program because of the lowinvestment ($10 dollars) and high profit potential. There is no limit to theincome you can generate from this (you can do it over and over).
If you follow the instructions, you will reach thousands of people!Honesty, Faith, and Integrity make this system work. I think everyone hasheard of "PayPal". Anyone with an e-mail address can join for F*R*E*E*!If you're not already a PayPal user, the first thing you need to do issign up. Just click the link below! It's really easy to set up and it's F*R*E*E*!
https://www.paypal.com/
TEAM WORK MAKES THIS DREAM WORK! LET'S GET STARTED: Send a $5.00 dollardonation from your PayPal account to THE FIRST e-mail address on thelist along with a note saying "Please add me to your list". Now send theother $5.00 donation and e-mail to the 5th person on the list saying"Thanks I've joined".
Remove the 1st e-mail address and place your address at the bottom. This moves the 2nd to 1st, 3rd to 2nd, 4th to 3rd, and the 5th place into 4th.
DO NOT TRY TO PLACE YOURSELF IN THE FIRST PLACE. IT WILL ONLY REACH THEPEOPLE YOU SEND IT TO, AND THEN YOUR NAME WILL BE REMOVED FROM THELIST! If you do this the way it was designed it will reach thousands by thetime your name gets to the top. REMEMBER TO SEND a $5.00 dollardonation to the 1st e-mail address and the message "Please add me to yourlist, and send an email with the words "THANKS I'VE JOINED" and the other$5.00 donation to the 5th person. This lets the 5th person keep track ofprogress of the letter and continue to send out more emails.
Here is the list:
1. lmao@lm.ao2. pwnj@pwn.j3. yadda@yadda.y.a.d.d.a4. gnggngng@yahoo)o0OO.k0|\/|5. hatorade@hAtOrA.d3
Now that you have paid the 1st person and 5th person & sent them bothan email & a note, place your e-mail address in the 5th place. (Makesure it's the same e-mail address that you used to open your PayPalaccount). This is the way you will receive payment. OK, the only thing leftto do is to mail out at least 20 copies of this letter. It is the job ofthe 5th person on the list to ensure there are at least 20 "thank you Ijoined" replies. The fifth person is the guardian of the system! Ifthere are not at least 20 replies then the fifth person will keep sendingthe letter until there is. Another option is to copy this message and post to several message boards, discussion boards, or forums.
MAKE SURE YOU SEND $5 DOLLARS TO THE FIRST PERSON TO THANK THEM FOR WHEN THEY WERE THE GUARDIAN OF THE LETTER and $5 DOLLARS TO THE FIFTHPERSON SO MORE EMAILS DONT CONTINUE TO GO OUT! As you will also receive gratis -thanks AND THE SAME BLESSING. When your name is on the 1st slot, 8,000to 15,000 people will send you 5 dollars!
Keep in mind... the most you spent is $10 DOLLARS! (Remember... whatgoes around comes around). Good Luck!

can someone please tell me they have no savings? please? it doesn't really count if you're younger than like 24
― Surmounter, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 19:16 (eighteen years ago)
I have virtually no savings, and I am well over 24. My current account looks OK, but I have NO savings account or pension. I need to make a quarter of a million pounds in, say, the next three years...
― snoball, Wednesday, 18 June 2008 19:42 (eighteen years ago)
My savings hovers around a few $K, but I have a 401k that could be tapped in an emergency, a house that I could probably sell and net $50K in profit if the SF market doesn't collapse, and an employed wife.

I cashed out my 401k (which wasn't a huge amount, but about 5 months of living expenses) to start a business in January. Possibly a stupid move. I'm 48 and figure I'll be working until I just fall over dead.

okay so if you've given to Christine's gofundme -or- if you don't have enough to do so, you can read the following recipe, but anyone who DOES have money and DOESN'T donate any of it has to skip the rest of this post.
Adapted from:
https://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/moroccan-whole-roasted-cauliflower
1 large cauliflower, trimmed
Juice of 1 orange
1 cup finely diced red onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup of soaked, mushed-up dates
Set the oven to 375° and slather a roasting pan with oil.
Mix up an oniony spice sauce: Combine orange juice, finely diced onion, salt, spices, a spoonful of oil, and a spoonful of date paste. Adjust seasoning to taste, or don't.
Plop the cauliflower upside down in the roasting pan. Drizzle and pat the underside with a good bit of oil, then with about 1/3 of the remaining date paste, then with about 1/3 of the oniony spice sauce. (Or maybe just mix all the date paste into the sauce? The original recipe called for you to do them separately so that's what I did, but I don't see why you couldn't just consolidate them)
Flip the cauliflower right side up and anoint all over with more oil, then with the rest of the sauce and date paste. Try to cover every surface.
Put cauliflower in the oven and roast until it smells like it's burning. (This part of the recipe could use some tweaking; feel free to improvise) Hurriedly turn the temperature down to 350° and dump some water into the pan. Spoon liquid from the pan onto the cauliflower and tent some foil over it. Check on it anxiously, spooning more liquid on top, until it's done or you decide it's close enough.

Speaking of which:The transmission is just about rebuilt; they are just waiting on one part to be shipped to them, and then after that, it will be about 3 or 4 hours of labor until my truck will be ready to take home. I'm hoping that it will be ready soon enough for me to get back to work tomorrow. The first chunk of money arrived into my savings account this morning--about $950. I paid a few bills, and I'm hoping to be able to pay the mechanic a few hundred as a down payment when I pick it up (I have it on a 90-day payment schedule). I thank you all for being generous. Please share this around as much as you can, I will need every bit of this $6500 since I won't have a paycheck next week and a small paycheck week after next.https://www.gofundme.com/f/aid-for-chriss-car-repair-and-living-expenses

There's been a major setback. We were called and told that the truck was ready. We got a Lyft and went to the mechanics, only to be told that we wouldn't be able to take the truck home until the repair bill was completely paid off. I was under the mistaken impression that I would be able to make time payments and use the truck at the same time. I know I sound like a very stupid human being, because I am a very stupid human being. After this, we walked outside and tried to get another Lyft home, but couldn't because it was rush hour. We walked a couple of miles (inflaming my husband's bad leg) to the local Publix to get some cat food and wait for rush hour to be over, and we finally was able to get home. In short, I can't work until I pay off the repairs. Please share this around some more, and donate again if you can afford to. I am extremely grateful to you all.https://www.gofundme.com/f/aid-for-chriss-car-repair-and-living-expenses

CGLDI, caregivers are some of the most important and under-compensated workers out there. My own family has benefited mightily from their willingness to do those jobs. Hang in there. I suspect you are feeling a bit desperate about this. You deserve a more secure position in life. I'll do what I can for you and your husband. I encourage others to join me.

In the not so distant past, whenever ILX needed to raise money to pay for the server, the goal was often met before I even opened my browser. I know there are many fewer regulars these days, but *damn* if everyone is too broke to chip in $10 to the pot then the world has changed since the pandemic even more than I thought -- and I knew it was bad.

Good point about the 77 borad. I'll repeat here what I wrote on 77 this morning:
I think there are enough ilxors who are both solvent and financially secure enough to give to non-profits or make political contributions as a regular thing, or easily support the expense of a hobby, who need to step up. Give it some thought, but there's really only one answer to this one. Thanks.

correct me if wrong but I think we are $252 short of the target if you count the $ I sent separately this time
― Serfin' USA (sleeve), Monday, 13 July 2026 18:20 (four days ago)
Here's the math:
When I asked Chris how much more would be required to get her truck out of hock to the repair shop, her GoFundMe already stood at $4400. She answered that another $2200 would be needed. Since then her GoFundMe has gained about $650, up to about $5050. Adding in your PayPal that brings the sum donated toward the necessary $2200 at $850, leaving a further $1350 needed to redeem her truck.
On the 77 thread I said that if others pitched in $1800 I would level it up by another $400 to complete the $2200, so there's about another $950 required to meet that goal.
Without the truck that would allow her to work and earn an income, the new donations will be eaten up by other expenses, but stave off the wolf from the door another month perhaps. She needs a resolution. She needs her job back. She needs to stop living in constant dread.
― more difficult than I look (Aimless), Monday, 13 July 2026 19:12 (four days ago)
got it, thank you, and thanks for bumping

I owe a lot to the caregivers who helped our daughter. We all owe them gratitude for the work they do for the elderly and the disabled. Many of us are, have been or will be caregivers, generally unpaid, and know it is hard work requiring compassion. Many of us will need to be cared after some day.

About $750 needed now.

Down to $650.

Another $100 came in, so it's now at about $550 required.

Daily bump to keep this visible. NB: It would be most helpful if this could be a done deal within the next couple of days, to allow Chris a small cushion of time between getting back to work and the next rent falling due.

I just had to use about $400 for the overdue loan payments and the truck loan, so you might have to add that.

The clearest help you can give us would be to figure out the what additional sum, beyond what your GoFundMe has already raised, and if it were in your hands today, would allow you to reclaim your truck and use it to resume your caregiving work. In figuring this, only count the money required above and beyond what has been raised ($5,650, including sleeve's donation).

GoFundMe releases money in bits and pieces a few days after it's sent in and clears, so I'll get back to you tomorrow on this.

Until Chris comes back with a possibly revised estimate, I'll have to use her prior estimate as a yardstick. If we include sleeve's donation via PayPal, there have been a total of $1450 in new donations since Chris estimated that another $2200 would get her truck back. It would only take another $350 in donations to trigger the $400 I pledged if other people made up the first $1800.
Since it's now halfway through the month already and there's a few days lag between us donating and Chris getting the proceeds, time is becoming more important. Ideally, Chris could retrieve her truck and start working again early next week, meaning a resumed income flow maybe by early August.
The World Cup is in a brief hiatus until Sunday, so tennis $350 anyone?

I didn't sleep last night and some other things happened, so I'll look at things tomorrow.

That's OK. I slept badly Monday night and was pretty useless on Tuesday. No one here should need more info to make up their minds than is already available to them here.

Good morning! The ILX horoscope for today says this is a good day for bringing good works to a successful conclusion.

The goal of raising $1800 of new funds for Chris was met today and I have kept my promise to donate enough to bring the total to the $2200 she estimated would be needed to accomplish the primary goal of clearing her debt on a new transmission for her truck so she could begin working again. That estimate was made more than a week ago and I hope Chris will let us know if more is necessary.
It is predictable that during the months Chris could not bring in her normal working income that expenses piled up and her GoFundMe was eaten up in part by those expenses. She may have maxed out her credit card or taken out a short term high interest loan. But I would hope at this point she realizes that restarting her income must be the first priority above all others.
iow, the estimated amount has been raised but it remains to be seen how well the goal has been met. Please, if you were thinking of donating, please don't hold back. Digging out of a hole this size and that went on so long is no simple task. Every extra dollar will be incredibly vital to regaining even the bare minimum of financial stability.

As for me, in the parlance of poker games, I'm tapping out for a while. I'll be leaving on the 20th for a two week camping & hiking trip.

I'm incredibly happy about this, and I'm going to be looking at things to see when everything comes in and when I can go in and pay off the transmission--they're closed Saturdays and Sundays, so it might have to be next week. I'm forever thankful to Aimless for doing what I didn't have the presence of mind to do--my ability to take care of myself has been slowly eroding over the last few months.

Happy to do it. It's been some decades since I was fighting to stay financially afloat, but I well remember the sick helpless feeling when things turned bad, the income stopped, the savings evaporated, counting my money down to the penny and it was less than next month's rent. That stuff stays with you.
