It's a song about Beer Goggles really innit?

Emma, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

We like to call beer goggles amber visions over here :)

Menelaus Darcy, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow!!! Let go of me ear!

Will, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Abba gold is 17 quid! I am outraged. I'll never pay that much. But I must have SOS.

alix, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Lixi's qn is urgent/key - my Abba Gold tape has finally given up on me not a month gone and it's time for an upgrade. BUT ITS SO EXPENSIVE.

Tom, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Sure these records can be STOLEN from the modern interweb and BURNED onto a disc?

N., Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

that would be waayyyy too un-rockist!

katie, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

A CD burner is more expensive than Abba Gold last time I looked.

Also I do actually think MP3s *are* stealing and all that so I try to buy records by bands I like when I find them affordably.

Tom, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

But sure you had given them all your money when you bought the tape. They can't blame you for not wanting to pay twice because of shoddy manufacturing.

N., Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Are we talking Abba Gold (1 CD) here for £17 or Abba Gold (2 CD's)?

David, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Gold? isn't that a steps album? (hehehehehe)

I R fatnick, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I think the new Abba collection is only 12.99 in Smiths!! (I think it's a double CD! *not sure*)...CD Warehouse in Ealing or Wimbledon may have some copies (£8.99 second hand). I will look 2moro.

james, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

you can get the complete works of Abba for under a fiver via charity shops. The Visitors is the classic, 'non hits' album (add to you lists, Rockists) and well worth the 50p. Dancing Queen is probably one of my all time favourite tracks, mostly for the drum break

michael, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I first thought of the Foetus song that references this line when I first saw the thread title.. ("Wash it all off")

Brian MacDonald, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i thought of the awful sitcom

michael, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ive already got all but I think 2 of the LPs via c-shop, and a load of the singles too. But the convenience of Gold dammit!

Tom, Tuesday, 11 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)
