But seriously, picture this. You're in an important meeting and someone mentions the need for a systematic approach. Without warning, System Addict by Five Star starts playing in your head. You are filled with the barely repressible urge to burst into song. This happens to me every time someone even vaguely alludes to a song lyric, consciously or otherwise.

Does anyone else suffer from this debilitating affliction? Is there a cure?

This happens to me all the time and annoys my friends to no end because I often start singing softly and unconsciously. Also, when I've been singing something or hearing it it will not leave my head. Worst on Thursdays due to choir rehearsal before school, voice class second period, and choir fifth period.

Oh good lord, I've started doing this far too much. Not actually singing the song but saying the words/title and then giggling to myself. The worst thing is this happens the most around people who don't know that much about music, and so they stare at me like I'm some kind of grotesque goddamned freak. Which I probably am.
