Chappelle's Show Season 2 DVD Question

So I'm here checking out some of the bonus features on the recently released Chappelle's Show second season. All in all, some decent stuff, but probably one of the more interesting things of note is that there are two more Charlie Murphy True Hollywood Stories (only him telling them, not acted out, unfortunately).

Anyway, in one of the stories he discusses a string of incidents that involve when he did security for his brother and how he continually had to beat the shit out of people. He references a guy who was around Hollywood at the time whom he describes as the "Black John Belushi" as far as his drinking and outrageous public persona goes and how he ultimately had to pretty much beat him within an inch of his life.

Apparently he's well-known enough that they had to bleep out his name each time Charlie accidentally slips up and doesn't use a pseudonym. More often that not, he catches himelf before he says the whole name so you really can't tell what he's saying when they bleep it out. Does anyone have any clue who he's referencing here? I'd be interested to find out. The only person i could think of that might even fit that description is someone like Robin Harris (although I don't know if I can imagine CM being able to bring himself to beat the life out of him or if he was an outrageous drunk).

On the plus side, though, later he says something negative about someone else at which point they blur his mouth out. Although, I'm about 95% POSITIVE he's saying "Tommy Davidson." I'm sure they know some of the same people and Dave didn't want to get in to too much trouble.

Anyway, check it out for yourself and try and figure out what the deal is. We'll solve this mystery yet!
