Getting Cavities Filled

Does anyone recall if there are any restrictions on what you can eat/drink after having your cavities filled? I searched on google & got quickly frustrated b/c nothing seemed to answer my question.

it's not me, it's L. but i want to maybe stop by & pick up some stuff for him on my way home. i'm sure he'll be sleeping from the novocaine.

It would be the responsibility of the dentist to explain any restrictions - preferably before the procedure when the victim isn't drugged. IIRC only temporary fillings would need coddling.

i know that the dentist would probably give him a list, but i wanted to maybe pick up some stuff on the way home. i wasn't sure if he'd be restricted to soft foods or anything. i think i was when i had my wisdom teeth pulled? can't remember . . .

my dentist always used to say drink nothing hot for a couple of hours - the numbing stops you from realising the damage that too-hot drinks are having and you can burn yourself really badly. yeah, i'd stick to soft food for a day too.
