So the BBC are streaming the Stella Artois championships live via the internet at http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport (follow the link from the front page). About to get underway - Grinning Greg vs. Josh Goodall, A Plucky Young Brit.

N.B. - probably should still start new threads for the Slam tournaments tho, cos they get dead big and unwieldy and stuff.

Streaming tennis coverage? How am I supposed to do any work?

I can see this thread getting some traffic during the North American hardcourt season (late July-late Aug) but the I suppose the main interest this week is watching the claycourters fall over on zee grass. Which is for zee cows.

Not many rallies in Rused-Goodall, are there? Bring back the brick dust!

Never mind not many rallies, there's hardly any blooming returns. Rusedski has taken that first set in 24 minutes.

Rusedski serving at 3-2 up in the second. I don't think Goodall's taken any points off the Rusedski serve that have been as a result of anything other than Rusedski messing up. After this, Alex Mackin takes on Lovely Igor, and Parry Dawn plays Keggy Kim.

Rusedski through 6-3 6-4 - scoreline a pretty fair reflection, just not much in the way of fun.

Mackin's an Alan, not an Alex. His shorts are grey and somewhat too baggy for a man his height, they make him look somewhat knock-kneed. Igor Andreev is the 13th seed here. One suspects this might not be lasting that long.

That said, there's quite probably already been more rallies than in the whole of the prior match.

That said... Li'l Mac's looking ever so slightly handy. Lengthy baseline rallies are the order of the day here, Mackin scuttling all over, Andreev not entirely settled. That said, Iggy's started to get his power going and has taken the first 7-5.
