have we talked about the tv show American Dad yet?

I didn't find it particularly entertaining the first few times I watched it (it seemed like a sorta a big tupperware in the back of the fridge of Seth McFarlane's mind where he dumped all the jokes he didn't use in Family Guy), personally. And then, this past week, it somehow completely clicked.

Maybe it's because the show got BALLS or something, I don't know. All I do know is somehow they convinced PATRICK STEWART to voice the head of the CIA, and then somehow managed to get him to talk about punishing someone, with a line like "I mean weird stuff...butt stuff".

Am I going crazy, or was it actually a great half-hour of television?

Or am I really just in shock from having heard Patrick Stewart say "butt stuff"?

it is still the same jokes as Family Guy but from a different angle, but it's gradually getting stronger and more individual as the series progresses - growing from being his identikit Family Guy replacement to being a more fully relaised show in its own right.

i like it. i think it is a good thing.

I had no idea that it was actually Patrick Stewart. I am impressed now.

Lee otm. The first two or three episodes were very awkward and unfunny, but it's been getting a lot funnier as it finds its own personality.

The fact that he played American Dad's boss was also really exciting, because, like, he might be back to say more insane perverted shit!

I also like when he demoted American Dad (I still can't remember his name!) from decoding Al Qaeda chatter to Al Qaeda banter.

I watched the first 10 minutes or so of this episode and thought it was total shit. But then, I don't really like the Family Guy either, so who gives a fuck what I think.

Another one of those shows that I'm amazed is still on the air.
