I don't care for the simplicity of that suspender attachment to the front of his pants. I'd prefer something more along the lines of a small gilded animal (a ferret perhaps?) chomping ferociously on that waistband. The red hair though, it's ok.

He's little. Or maybe it's an extra giant sized hipster who has grabbed him by the arm.

Thing is, beneath the lovely long locks and Jesus beard, that J.Crew model is still very obviously a J.Crew model - long face, chiseled features, super-WASP Nordic colouring. He still looks clean and well groomed, like a Breck Advert vision of hippiedom. Prep school fuel the majority of hipster culture these days, so I don't see the problem with having hipster beard/hair on that uber prep-icon J.Crew.

Now if it were an LL Bean model rocking the Unix Hacker look, then I would call it the apocalypse. But not yet.
