The cavity under your nose.

Is there a word for the cavity that's under your nose, over your upper lip. In Finnish we call it "snot spout", but I doubt that's the official term. Also, why is that thing there? What is its biological function?

And while we're at it, what's the English term for the red, round area around your nipple?

Yeah, the nose thing is the philtrum and the nipple thing is the areola (although as I'm afro-caribean, mine are a dark brown)

The German for nipple is iirc "brustwarz" transliterating as "breast wart"...Gotta love those fun lovin' Teutons.
