For the 16th, though, all is so far open and all suggestions are encouraged. Also, who's around there exactly? I know there's Stevo in Leiden while Job and Omar are in Amsterdam itself (I gather), but beyond that?
Thoughts, suggestions, etc.

Well I'll be certainly up for buying you a drink Ned. I'm in touch with Omar so I'll see if he has any suggestions. Amsterdam is usually not short of options. I guess it depends on what's available, how many people + what you fancy doing yourself.
'5 days off' might be fun:
De Melkweg has: Dilinja & Lemon D / Pete Philly & Perquisite / dj Lovesupreme / L-Dopa / Dreazz vs. Pamb / Tarantula (vj)Noise Cabin (O.Z.): M.I.A. (live) / Kano (live) / Roll Deep (live) / Elephant Power / Gomes & Vin-E
Whilst Paradiso has Fischerspooner, + Tiefschwarz (yowsa!)

Woha! I'm gonna have to check the Belgian 10DO now.
Be sure to take lots of pics! I want to see how coolio Stevo and Omar look like. :-)

Prepare to be seriously disappointed then;-) Not in cousin Omar with his flowing locks, hipster clothes, Spanish good looks and intellectual air. I, however, look a bit like Keith Allen’s uglier brother, or so I'm told.

I suspect Ben would be up for some if not all of this, to be sure! Let me consult and we will cook up some ideas.

A quiet beer/coffee somewhere, a boat trip around the canals, a visit to the 'Banana Bar' ;-) Whatever, you're the honoured guest.

I won't be around Sunday evening so I must miss that, but Saturday evening's shows sound good, potentially. Some combination of quiet beer/coffee and wandering about would probably suit me best though Colette was recommending a glass-bottom boat canal trip. So that could be fun! I'd say for now just block out the afternoon for general stuffage -- I've heard that apparently the Indonesian cuisine in Amsterdam is quite good, so if someone could confirm/deny? That might make for a fun evening meal!

The Jordaan neighbourhood would be my prefered location for a strollbut whereabouts will you be staying Ned? Perhaps we should just arrange a meet-up in a café in the afternoon somewhere convenient and take it from there?

My suggestion:
Early afternoon = 2pm? Place = the monument in the Dam square itself is v. central + easy to find. map:http://mc.multimap.com/cs/ta041//M21/Y27/M2179Y27336S5W700H400.gif

His mate, Ben.
Hope you enjoyed yesterday Ned, it was fun. For one day you managed to get a fair amount crammed in for one day. I particularly appreciated being able to talk with you how Liz's death had deeply affected us both.
Shame that Tiefschwarz started so late, they were excellent + I think you would have enjoyed it. Despite tired legs from wandering around all day I couldn't help but dance. I managed to get €20 for the tickets so I'll try paypal (the same kuci.org email adress ?). Here's hoping you have a relaxing restful time in Italy. Like I said you're more than welcome to stay in Leiden next time you're over.
