Was she the bride?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 19 June 2005 00:36 (twenty years ago)

Those pictures just sicken me. I don't think I can watch the new season now.

(of the picking up your gf, that is)

donut e-goo (donut), Sunday, 19 June 2005 02:18 (twenty years ago)

I think he's hot.

teeny (teeny), Sunday, 19 June 2005 02:54 (twenty years ago)

I wouldn't complain. Though I'm sure my husband would. Tee hee. Ahem.

VegemiteGrrl (VegemiteGrrl), Sunday, 19 June 2005 03:02 (twenty years ago)

As someone not his body shape I feel rejected! Or, um, something.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 19 June 2005 03:17 (twenty years ago)

he has a very sexy accent actually. usually i don't like american accents so much but i like his.

James Gandolfini's Secrets for Attracting the Australian Female

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 19 June 2005 03:20 (twenty years ago)

could be a niche market for a selfhelp book there for sure

gem (trisk), Sunday, 19 June 2005 03:25 (twenty years ago)

back hair is the new chest hair

Poor sensitive Ned. Shrugged off for the fictional mafia boss. I think most of my attraction is for Tony Soprano, in actual fact...I've seen Gandolfini in movies and I don't like him as much when he's not doing the voice & the smirk. Ohh, the smirk.

My husband's a Gandolfini-esque gentleman, as far as body shape goes, so that may also be part of the appeal.

It's okay Ned. You can still bring me flowers...

VegemiteGrrl (VegemiteGrrl), Sunday, 19 June 2005 04:21 (twenty years ago)

I've still never seen this show, though I can sympathize with Ganfolfini having seen enough lame ass Joe Pantoliano movies.

Joe Pantoliano in that little hat. Ew.

Pleasant Plains /// (Pleasant Plains ///), Sunday, 19 June 2005 04:35 (twenty years ago)

bizarrely, this happened to a friend of mine too but it was at a barmitzvah.

jed_ (jed), Sunday, 19 June 2005 10:23 (twenty years ago)

wierd - a friend of mine really did get chatted up by him too in a bar in new york. 2 women - both under 25

Robin Goad (rgoad), Sunday, 19 June 2005 17:47 (twenty years ago)

older famous guy macks on young presumably attractive ladies and this is weird/surprising how?

pleasant plains otm about joey pants tho

jones (actual), Sunday, 19 June 2005 18:34 (twenty years ago)

jones otm.

it is not outside reality to have a happily married famous guy be a charmer to anyone but his wife. if they happen to be females, so be it.

(ok ok, if it turns out that later on, Gandolfini is caught having 457 affairs with younger women later on the news, then I'll eat my words.. but i somehow doubt it. "On the bass", I think the guy was just chatting up your gf, not picking up on her. DR0PP ONE JEALOUZY!)

donut e-goo (donut), Sunday, 19 June 2005 19:32 (twenty years ago)

"be a charmer to people besides his wife".. excuse me.

donut e-goo (donut), Sunday, 19 June 2005 19:33 (twenty years ago)

I prefer the original.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 19 June 2005 19:51 (twenty years ago)

wait i don't doubt he's a skirt-chaser, i was just responding to the person who found this possibility unusual

jones (actual), Sunday, 19 June 2005 19:53 (twenty years ago)

I don't think Gandolfini's married.

Jay Vee (Manon_70), Sunday, 19 June 2005 21:22 (twenty years ago)

That said - he is an imposing presence in real life. Big guy. I used to see him a bunch when I worked in the West Village.
