fourteen years pass...

Can anyone recommend a good dentist. I've been out of the UK for a few years, and will be back for a few months. I have the usual dentist-phobia and will most likely need deep-clean/scaling bleurgh

Is Northwest DC is accessible to where you are? If yes, I can recommend my dentist.

Anywhere in UK is (potentially) good, but North of England would be easiest

If anyone is still looking for a good dentist in England I found one.

two years pass...

my temporary cap has just popped out. I knew it wouldn't last. It was a piece of shoddy shit that was crumbling within hours of leaving the dentist. Now I have a raw shard of a tooth stump that will kill me with every variant of warm or cold for over a week. I really fucking hate dentists. When you are NHS scum they don't even see you as a sentient being.

that's annoying! could see if whiskey numbs it perhaps?

like soak a clean paper towel or something similar in whiskey and just leave it on the tooth for a few minutes. may not be sustainable, but may actually help (i think i had a friend do this once a long time ago)

I've got 9 days to wait until the permanent cap is fitted but I think I'll get through it. Lol when you get used to falling apart it seems to get easier to deal with pain management and death. Or was it harder? i can't remember!

Clove oil! Used by actual dentists for things like dry sockets. Ask me how I know.
