melbourne uni - wheres the dirt on the internet?

im considering study @ melbourne and i really want to know the inside story on teaching staff, who's good, who sux, does anyone know of any forums where this stuff is discussed? wd be much appreciated!
obviously theres no links to any such informal forums from the official site (that i can see, and ive been rooting around pretty thoroughly)

have you checked the student society webpages? at my uni some of the student societies have 'alternative faculty handbooks' which give exactly the information you have asked for. good to see you're getting into the rooting around spirit before you even get to uni though, props!

yes its a stuffy old institution but it's local (i cant drive!!) and i already have done a couple of subjects there

i seriously can't remember any of their names - except this one dude called homer the great (no foolin') who i now think is at monash.

i've largely blocked out my uni years, not because there was anything particularly wrong with the institution though.

I did a BA to Hons level at Melbourne. I last studied there in 1995. At that time it was excellent. My thesis supervisor from 95 is now the faculty 'grande fromage'.
