How much do your vices run you each year if you tally it all up? I just horrified myself by realizing i spend about $1,460 a year on cigarettes alone. That's perhaps the most terrifying thing i've ever heard. For both my wallet and my lungs. And I was even being nice by rounding the cost per pack down to $4. And to a pack a day when it really should be closer to a pack and a half. You chain-smoking New Yorkers must be ready to slit your wrists at $8/$9 a pack.

I'm too scared to try and add up my bar tab. That's probably astronomical. So how much do you blow each year on crap like this? Coffee? Booze? Prostitutes? etc. I'll bet food is depressingly at the bottom of a lot of people's lists.

I'm sure I spend between 2 and 3 grand on weed, also.
It's not purely a vice, though, since I have MS.
Shit, I spent that much on weed before I knew I had MS, anyway.

Food's actually at the top of my list. I make a beer run to West Memphis for better beer than I can buy in Tupelo, 3-4 times a year, probably $80-100 each time. Don't smoke anything, don't really care for distilled spirits, don't know good wine from bad so I never buy any at all. So for me it's probably a couple grand a year in luxury food items and eating out. (That figure covers the whole family.)

yes, financially, i'm pretty glad that my buying of drugs has dwindled down to next to nothing as time has gone by. i've often wondered how friends of mine have been able to afford being heavy smokers, drinkers, AND potheads over the years. that's a pretty hefty chunk of change.

i don't smoke anymore, haven't paid for drugs in a long time, and only buy cheap booze these days (cost of the six-pack i'm drinking right now: $6.49 cold).

Wine is my biggest vice, good wine, so God knows what I spend in a year. It is very easy for me to drop $300 in Rolf's Wine Shop in one visit. Sort of the like some people are with LPs and CDs.

I don't pay for drugs.

I don't smoke.

The other vice would be good food, which I pay for when I want it.

Not bad I suppose, as far as vices go.

I probably spend somewhere between $1500-2000 a year on booze. I never buy cigarettes or other smokeable things. And sex -- so far! -- is free.
